September is National Preparedness Month. In week 1 you’re encouraged to Make a Plan for your family depending on the types of disasters you may experience in your area. Ready.gov has a lot of useful information you can use to keep your family prepared.

We’re all living in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and Ready.gov also has useful information related to pandemics. To their list I would add that it is absolutely critical to keep yourself as healthy as possible and to maintain a healthy weight. Being obese and having type II diabetes make the CDC’s list of People at Increased List of Severe Illness when they contract COVID-19.

You have the power to take control of your health security by avoiding junk food with added sugar and excessive amounts of carbohydrates. Today is a great day to start. Contact me for a free consultation.

This month I’ll be posting preparedness ideas, reminders, and health related news and tips you can use.
